Welcome to
Arts Award @ Diss Corn Hall
From January 2012, Diss Corn Hall became a registered Arts Award centre. The Arts Award is open to young people aged between 11 and 19 who want to take their Bronze or Silver Arts Award and gain a nationally recognised qualification to recognise their involvement in the Arts.
Arts Award helps young people to learn and share new creative skills and to make links with creative professionals in the arts and media.
To help young people work toward their awards, Diss Corn Hall hosts FREE weekly ideas workshops run by trained, CRB-checked, Arts Award advisors each Wednesday in term time from 4pm-6pm.
We also provide an exciting programme of subsidised workshops and performances by arts professionals. Some of which are open to young people not taking the Arts Award at the moment. Check out our Arts Award workshop events above for more information.

Thank you Mere Players!
Mere Players have generously allowed some Arts Award students complimentary tickets to their Shakespeare Sandwich performances this week at the Corn Hall. This means that these students will be able to review this performance for their portfolios.

Fifth Ideas Workshop
Last Wednesday saw our 5th Ideas Workshop, and marked the half-way point in the term. Everyone got on with their portfolios, the choir practised, and those interested in visual art had a tour of the new exhibition in the Old Stables Gallery. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Wednesday 22nd after their half-term break!

Amazing Animation Workshop
This workshop with Matt Harrison was a sell-out and everyone who attended had a chance to create their own piece of stop-motion animation. Our imaginations ran wild with tales of shoe-people to the adventures of a soggy teabag!
